General Disclaimer

Trace IQ Locating Inc. provides professional utility locating services. By requesting a locate, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is strictly limited as follows:

We aim to locate all подземных utilities physically detectable using standard equipment.
We are not responsible for undocumented utility lines or non-detectable materials.
We are not liable for damage outside our marked locations.
We are not liable if the required 1-metre hand dig zone is not maintained.
We are not responsible for markings disturbed after site departure.
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific locate service.

Accuracy of Locate Results

Depth: Readings are approximate estimates and never exact measurements.
Undetectable Utilities: Some non-conductive utilities or unmarked lines may not be detectable.
Third-Party Info: We rely on municipal records and Ontario One Call data, which may contain errors.
Validity Period: Markings are typically valid for 30 days based on site conditions.
Disturbed Markings: Protecting utility markers is the customer's responsibility once we exit the site.

Customer Responsibilities

Before Locate: Inform Ontario One Call, provide site drawings, and recognize that incomplete data affects accuracy.
During Excavation: Maintain 1m hand-dig zones, ensure personnel recognize markers, and halt if unexpected lines appear.
After Locate: Preserve marking integrity and request re-marks if lines are obscured before digging begins.

Ontario Regulations & Compliance

Excavators and property owners must comply with all applicable Ontario laws, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Damage Prevention Act.

Changes to These Terms

Trace IQ reserves the right to update these terms. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the latest revisions.
